The seminar was hosted by Shanghai Institute of Political Science and Law, Shanghai Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries and Shanghai Sco Research Center of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.More than 70 experts and scholars from research institutions, think tanks and universities in Russia, kazakhstan, kyrgyzstan, uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, the United States and China gathered together to discuss how to advance the development of the sco and the building of the One Belt And One Road. Experts attending the meeting believe that with the launch of the aiib, the brics development bank and the silk road fund, the idea of "One Belt And One Road" has been recognized and supported by most countries.Under the "One Belt And One Road" strategy, the sco should make full use of mechanisms such as the silk road economic belt fund and the Asian infrastructure investment bank to strengthen multilateral economic, trade and financial cooperation and promote trade facilitation and connectivity cooperation. At the same time, on the basis of respecting the diversity of civilizations, the sco member states should strengthen cultural and educational cooperation, establish academic partnerships within the SCO framework, and achieve people-to-people exchanges through continuous promotion of interaction and dialogue between civilizations and cultures.
