The smooth operation of the semi-automatic loom and the level of breakage rate directly affect the labor intensity and efficiency of the weavers. I would like to share the experiences I have gained from maintenance work with all of you to jointly improve our work.
The shuttle track and the guide wheel pipeline should be straight, the positioning between the machines should be consistent, and the shuttle machine should be able to pass through without any obstruction.
2. Positioning of the spool remover
Connect the line from the arc top point inside the pre-relaxing disc to the center of the disc and make it perpendicular to any one of the spindles. The height of the arc top point inside the yarn-drawing disc should be on the same plane as the top point of the third spindle at the back. The distance between it and the spindle should be kept at around 10mm. If there is a yarn jumping phenomenon during operation, it indicates that the angle of the yarn-drawing disc is too flat. You need to slightly increase its inclination angle. To prevent the positioning displacement caused by the bending of the push rod connected to the base plate due to collision.
3. Modification of the loom using the pre-relaxed disc material
The original pre-release disc is made of bakelite with multiple layers of materials bonded together. During operation, it collides with the bobbin and may peel off, forming a self-sharpening shape. This can easily cause the bottom of the tube to split the yarn, resulting in an increase in the workload and consumption of the tube spinning head. We have chosen a 10MM thick nylon plate for processing and manufacturing the pre-release disc. It has good adhesion and is unlikely to peel off after collision and produce burrs; its smooth and moist characteristics make it less likely to form black deposits after long-term friction with chemical fiber products, thus reducing the pollution to the yarn.
4. The wire blocking rods should be made of 6 mm diameter stainless steel. The working arc should be relatively straight to prevent an increase in broken threads due to excessive downward force. The length should be shortened to reduce the amplitude of the wire blocking rods. The running channel should be smooth and free of obstructions. This will effectively reduce the number of broken threads.
The 5-sided wheels are made of steel, which facilitates welding and repair after wear. The internal bearings are replaced with 202 type ones, and the diameter of the shaft is increased to enhance the strength of the broken sections. This reduces the wear of the shaft.
6. The drop-spindle box is made of 1mm thick galvanized iron sheet. The fixed parts at the bottom should be joined with a 1.5mm thick iron plate as reinforcement, which can significantly extend the service life of the box. Drop-spindle machine
7. The bottom rollers are replaced with 308 bearings from the waste of carding process. These bearings have a low friction coefficient, making the operation convenient and reducing the occurrence of flower-wrapping phenomenon, which is beneficial for management.
